Take Action With Your Neighbors!
Activism is most powerful when done joyfully and in community. Come meet likeminded folks that you can take action with - local activist groups, new friends, and neighbors. We'll have dozens of concrete ways for you to take action right at the fair, plus many opportunities to connect for future activism.
Activist Tables
Come meet local activist groups, including Free DC, Harriet's Wildest Dreams, and many more! See the full list below!
Each group will have ways for you to take action right at the fair, as well as ways to get involved after the fair.
Activist Art
Join our community art build!
We'll have supplies for making banners and protest signs, stenciling shirts and bags, and other kinds of activist art!
Trainings & Breakouts
We'll have space for "breakout" sessions inside Takoma Park 7th-day Adventist Church.
The breakout space will host a Free DC Orientation, a "speed neighboring" (like speed dating, but for meeting your neighbors!) and a hyperlocal organizing training.
Activist Music
Music will be provided by street bands & resistance choirs. Many of these groups are open to new members!
Performers include DC Activist Street Band, Rapid Response Choir, Good Trouble Troubadours, & SongRise DC.
The Resistance Beats will host a bucket drumming workshop!
Join us on Sunday April 26th from 10am-2pm!
